ROLE: Quality inspector
AREA: Shrewsbury
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
START DATE / DURATION: Immediate start, PERM
SALARY: Current salary is £12.75 - £14.50 depending on experience.
Hours of work 07:30 – 15:45 Monday – Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS: NA

THE ROLE:
This role is working for one of our prestigious clients to join their ever expanding team. Our client is looking for a Quality inspector
Duties include

• Ensuring PODS are to the correct tolerances meeting quality standards and specifications.
• Carry out internal process and product audits.
• Contributing to continuous improvement activities.
• Raising of NCR’s and assisting with corrective actions.
• Experience of working to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
• The ability to understand and interpret technical drawings/SOP’s.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team to achieve common goals.
• The ability to take a methodical and systematic approach to your work.
• Effective communication skills.
• Report/escalate process issues through the appropriate channels.
• Report/escalate quality issues through the appropriate channels.
• Maintain polite and good communication with colleagues at all times.
• Conducting multiple stage inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
• Utilising measuring tools and equipment to ensure products meet the required specifications.
• Recording and reporting any defects or issues found during inspections.
• Conducting final inspections on finished products before shipment.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of inspections and quality control activities.
• Update and maintain inspection documents, forms, logs, conformance certificates and other records.
• Identify root cause of problems, analyse, and develop remedial actions working with shop floor and engineers.
• Approving or rejecting raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
• Any other task deemed reasonable by supervision/Management.
