Mechanical Technician in Middlesbrough - CV-Library

On behalf of our client, a leader in waste-based renewables and fuel supply, we are seeking a Mechanical Technician for a 1–3-month contract based at their Seal Sands site.
  
This is a full-time position working 07:00 - 15:00, Monday to Friday.
  
This role involves providing front-line maintenance support to maximise biodiesel production efficiency. You’ll work on pumps, centrifuges, and mechanical systems while identifying and delivering planned maintenance schedules.
  
Key responsibilities:

Leading and overseeing maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager
Reading and interpreting mechanical schematic drawings for equipment assembly
Fostering a collaborative team environment while also excelling independently
Creating and reviewing risk assessments (RAMs)
Participating in planned shutdowns and providing out-of-hours support as needed   
Requirements:

Served mechanical apprenticeship
Proven technical competence in mechanical systems
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and a strong safety record
