The Role
As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our catering team. Your responsibilities will include:
Food Preparation: Assist in preparing a variety of food, snacks, and drinks.
Customer Service: Provide prompt and friendly service to all customers, ensuring their needs are met with a smile.
Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with your colleagues to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
Flexibility: Be prepared to work variable hours and support different College sites as needed.What We Offer

Essential Criteria:
Relevant Food Hygiene Qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
Minimum of Level 1 in Literacy and Numeracy.
Experience in food preparation, cooking, and customer service.
Excellent communication and team-working skills.
Friendly, professional manner and excellent timekeeping.
Desirable Criteria:
NVQ 2 or equivalent in a catering subject.
Cash handling experience.

This role is Permanent, 30 Hours per week (Monday-Friday 8am-2pm)
As part of the recruitment process and in line with keeping children safe in education, we will conduct social media checks on shortlisted candidates. Additionally, before commencing employment, all employees undergo safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS.
Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
