Job Description

You will be responsible for:

Obtaining customs clearance & processing import & export documentation necessary for the movement of goods between countries

Booking haulage for export loads from Ireland to UK & ROW

Creating Export documentation from T1/T2 & CMRs

Coordinating loading times & schedules with the warehouse & arrange for export paperwork for the drivers

Processing import & export declarations

Receiving commercial invoices & packing lists from the client

Checking for errors or discrepancies

Booking into customs systems & check HS codes/routes & origin or goods

Processing entries into relevant customs systems & check GMR/ENS/PBN

Running KPI reports & compliance checks on work carried out

Raising invoices to customers & process payment

Checking TAN/deferment account for T2s to make sure they are closed out

Maintaining a solid working relationship with internal & external customers

Using DFDS systems to pull down files & upload entries when completed for audit checks & end of year figures

Flexible approach to working hours & covering weekends when required

Driving sales for our customs activities & premium services & assisting our customers, when required, with inspections in the Port of Dublin

Being part of the AEO status maintenance
About you

Proficient in Excel & Power point

CILT (Skillnet) Customs course or similar

Experience with CHEDs & DAFM / Boarder Force / T2 & international customs procedures

Having the ability to work as part of a small team as we as working alone

Whilst a fluency in English will be essential a second European language would be an asset due to frequent interaction with our European offices

To be available outside office hours for urgent calls (a duty phone will be issued) & to assist in the solving of problems during this time
