Clinical Negligence Paralegal in Sheffield - CV-Library

Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading law firm in the recruitment of a Clinical Negligence Paralegal.

The successful candidate will undertake a variety of tasks and provide integral support. Responsibilities will include;

* Handling enquiries from both existing and potential clients including taking initial instructions.

* Responsible for collating / summarising all new enquiries received.

* Assisting and supporting fee earners within the department on other areas of work including research, document production, client liaison and file management.

* Reviewing and assessing medical records to establish the viability of potential claims as directed.

* Assisting with the department’s vetting process for new enquiries.

* Undertaking defined file management tasks including analysing files and creating chronologies, identifying missing records/notes and reordering files and; providing file analysis/investigation within set timescales.

* Responsible for arranging the departments new enquiry meeting on a weekly basis

* Processing new enquiries in accordance with established procedures of good practice.

Previous experience working within a legal setting (ideally within a clinical negligence or personal injury team) is essential and candidates must be able to demonstrate:

* Strong client care skills

* A confident and empathetic personality

* The ability to work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Excellent attention to detail

* An organised, pro-active, personable approach
