A community-focused SA practice based in the pretty town of Hawkesbury is recruiting a vet for growth.

They are looking for a three-year qualified vet but what is most important is an emphatic person, a real team player who wants to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in from the start.

A 3 vet, 4 nurse team, this isn’t a practice that cuts corners they have a team of experienced vets and nurses working in a relaxed, friendly environment together, a highly skilled unit that is passionate about providing quality care whilst maintaining a focus on work-life balance and fun in the workplace.

This practice has a real ‘family feel,’ about it where everyone pulls together when there’s work, and relaxes when it’s time. Without the shackles of a large vet group, decisions can be made quickly and ideas are encouraged.

They have a strong Ethos here, 'food is medicine' is at the core of our mission. The team has the expertise and experience to incorporate Raw Meaty Bones, medicine, and surgery in the treatment of sick dogs and cats.

This allows for a truly unique, all-encompassing approach to treatment. With a strong emphasis on diet and preventative health, often sees patients achieve life-changing results.

They handle a wide-range of caseloads here, including emergency cases with snake and tick envenomation, orthopaedics, complex soft tissue surgeries, and of course, routine de-sexings and dental surgeries.

A standard week is 30 hours (Half days would be either 9am-3pm or 3pm-7pm; A full day would be 9am-7pm), but they are negotiable around these.

So, what’s in it for you? A salary of $100k - $150k. All fees paid for, temp accommodation on arrival. Four weeks annual leave plus a comprehensive CPD allowance of $2000. They’re interested in improving all their vets and investing in them. Because it’s mutually beneficial.

Based on the edge of Hawkesbury, this beautiful, semi-rural area that has got plenty to offer. It is less than an hour away from the city, about an hour away from the beaches, it is close to the Blue Mountains for scenic tours and hiking, and access to river is not far from the clinic. There is wildlife visiting the back door of the clinic every day. They also have the Macquarie Arms, the oldest pub on the mainland 15 mins drive from the clinic.
