Livestock Coordinator - Guildford Area - £32,000 per year + Great benefits!!!

Are you passionate about conservation grazing and livestock management? Our client is seeking a dedicated Livestock Co-Ordinator to lead their grazing program across multiple conservation sites. If you have a background in countryside management and are ready to make an impact on biodiversity, this role could be the perfect fit!

Role Responsibilities:

* Coordinate and implement the annual grazing program to achieve biodiversity objectives across various sites.

* Oversee livestock welfare, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and public safety regulations.

* Manage practical livestock activities, including calving, haymaking, and grazing.

* Collaborate with external clients to deliver contract grazing services and monitor performance for biodiversity gains.

* Work closely with Conservation Managers and Farm Managers to maintain site and livestock risk assessments.

* Support winter herd management and ensure the availability of winter feed.

* Respond to public inquiries and collaborate with the Communications Team on educational content.

* Secure funding opportunities to support conservation grazing activities.

* Build partnerships with landowners to expand conservation grazing efforts.

* Participate in the on-call rota, covering livestock and site management responsibilities (1 week in every 6).

Salary / Benefits:

* £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

* £2,000 on-call allowance per year

* Flexible, friendly working environment

* 22+ days holiday plus Bank Holidays

Skills / Experience Required:

* Strong understanding of conservation grazing and countryside management practices.

* Proven experience in livestock management and/or habitat restoration.

* Knowledge of statutory land management requirements and ecology.

* Full driving licence with trailer and tractor qualifications (LANTRA/NPTC desirable).
