Lead Speech & Language Therapist– Neuro Hospital - Leatherhead – Up to £50,000

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are currently looking for a Lead Speech & Language Therapist to join a fantastic Neurological Hospital in Leatherhead.

The hospital is a state of the art 48 bedded rehab centre offering four different client pathways to include Neuro Rehabilitation, General Rehabilitation, Complex Neurological Care and Out Patient / Respite Services

We have worked closely with this provider on opening many of their new services and received outstanding feedback from nurses, SLTs and ODPs working there based on the quality of training, work-life balance and standards of the services. As a Lead SLT you will be responsible for:

* To be responsible for the day to day SLT organisation ensuring that all clients are given timely, appropriate, effective therapy treatment and discharge planning.
• To work as an autonomous practitioner in providing comprehensive assessments of clients
• To oversee the quality and efficiency of the SLT teams clinical resources providing support to less experienced SLTs
• To hold your own designated clinical caseload of clients and maintain up to date professional documentation according to professional and departmental standards.
• To assess and monitor clients effectively so to progress them through their rehabilitation providing optimal chance of recovery and retrieval of physical and cognitive function.
• To act as a key worker for clients in the Care and Rehabilitation Centre, appropriately coordinating a safe, smooth and timely discharge, liaising with all personnels as appropriate
