Tax Specialist in Welwyn Garden City - CV-Library

CK Group are recruiting for a Tax Specialist to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Welwyn Garden City on a contract basis for 6 months. This is a hybrid role with two days per week in Welwyn Garden City and three remote.

Tax Specialist Role:

Support the management of the direct and indirect tax compliance processes (namely corporation tax, VAT, plastics tax), which are undertaken by the in house tax team, the accounting shared services centre and/or outsourced to external tax advisers ensuring all deadlines are adhered to
Support the oversight of the monthly group and annual statutory accounts reporting process
Assist the team dealing with any tax enquires or queries from HMRC
Annual PSA preparation and submission
Support the implementation of the Global tax policies, including transfer pricing 

Your Background:

Experience in a multinational company either in a tax function or finance area with exposure to taxes or from an accounting and tax services advisory firm
Professional qualifications in accounting and/or tax
Good understanding of corporation tax and VAT
Experience in transfer pricing, UK R&D and Irish taxes an advantage
Works independently within guidelines and policies, with minimal guidance
