Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Livingston (Office-based)

Contract Details: Full-time

Salary: £27,000 - £28,000

Working Hours: Monday-Friday (9am-5:30pm)

About Our Client:

One of our long-standing clients based in Livingston are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Credit Controller to join their dynamic team. As a leading provider in their industry, they are committed to delivering exceptional service and value to their clients and want someone to come on-board who shares this passion. As a Credit Controller, you will sit within the company's finance department and report directly to the Finance Manager. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of the company's credit control function and support the finance manager with other duties when required. This is a fast-paced and highly rewarding role perfect for someone looking to take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

The main duties associated with this role are:

Managing the purchase invoicing process, including inputting invoices into the company's in-house processing system (Lightyear), and tracking them.
Understanding the sales and purchasing invoicing system and generating accurate sales invoices for customers.
Maintaining and reconciling the sales ledgers and managing the invoice financing process.
Chasing and collecting outstanding debt.
Achieving monthly targets for invoice financing and sales ledger debt collection.
Assisting with daily bank reconciliation and month-end reports.
Other adhoc duties as required.

Your Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

Hold or be studying towards an HNC/HND in accounting or business OR an ICM qualification.
Have previous experience working in a credit controller role.
Possess strong knowledge of Excel and experience with accounting software such as XERO.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
Experience of working to strict targets.
