Vital are looking for a Security Operative to join our team!
The role
Monitor and patrol the level crossing to ensure the safety and security of the rail infrastructure. Patrolling rail access points/barriers/platforms and station areas to deter vandalism and trespass.
- Strictly control the misuse of the level crossing when the automatic half barriers are down and to always prevent trespass while safe to do so.
- Enforce access control procedures, verifying the identity of individuals entering or exiting the area.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security-related incidents or violations.
Building relationships and working closely with stakeholder partners, Network Rail, British transport police and Samaritans.
Experience:
- SIA licence desirable but not essential
- PTS (Personal Track Safety) desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with security and basic first aid procedures are a plus
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situation
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
