Sub Agent in Water Orton - CV-Library

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Sub Agent with Heavy Civils and Structures experience to join our team to work in Coventry on major Earthworks packages.
Role Purpose:
To lead and control a section of the works, according to a specific discipline across RC Structures, Heavy Civils, Excavations etc management of a team of Section Engineers, Site Engineers within same discipline.
* Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately. Suggests and implements improvements to systems
* Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity, including managing others in this regard.
* Strong work ethic with flexibility to work unsociable hours/nights.
* Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.
* Drafts correspondence to sub-contractors, suppliers and Client
Who we're looking for:
* Civil Engineering experience in Civil Engineering
* Holds a valid CSCS
* Relevant Earthworks experience
* Has a UK driving licence
* Degree in Civil Engineering or similar

Our work with HS2
Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and then on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
Overall, we will be building the following across all our sites:
• 9.3km of viaducts
• 62 overbridges
• 35 cuttings
• 56 culverts
• 62 embankments
• 2 twin bore tunnels and 2 cut and cover tunnels
• 28 underbridges and 11 underpasses.
