My client has a fantastic opportunity for a Court of Protection Solicitor to join their Manchester offices on a hybrid basis.
The Court of Protection department handles the property and affairs of vulnerable clients who lack the required capacity to make their own financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- The day-to-day management of client’s property and affairs; managing their assets and ensuring that you act within their best interests at all times
- To assist Court of Protection Deputies in meeting clients’ specific needs and requirements
- Ensuring that an audit trail is produced and available on all casework undertaken with time being recorded accordingly
- Assisting on all aspects of Professional Deputyship matters from application to dealing with the administration of the Deputyship
- Managing a caseload of professional and lay deputyship clientS
Skills & Experience Required:
Candidates that have Court of Protection experience and can demonstrate a solid understanding of the crucial role which a Property & Affairs Deputy takes in the litigation process and beyond will be considered.
- Good knowledge of law relevant to Deputyship and Court of Protection requirements
- Knowledge of statutory duties relevant to Court of Protection and deputyship files
- Competent in the use of Microsoft word and outlook
- 0-6 Years PQE
- Prior exposure to Court of Protection Matters
