As a Traffic Management Worker, you will be responsible for setting up, managing, and dismantling temporary traffic management schemes in compliance with health and safety regulations. Your primary goal is to ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic around roadworks, construction sites, and other areas where traffic flow is disrupted.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, manage, and dismantle temporary traffic management systems including cones, barriers, signs, and temporary traffic lights.
Implement and monitor traffic management plans as per Lantra certification and industry standards.
Direct traffic flow around work zones to ensure the safety of road users and site workers.
Communicate effectively with the public, clients, and team members to provide clear instructions and updates.
Conduct regular checks to ensure all traffic management equipment is in good working condition.
Respond promptly to any traffic incidents or emergencies, ensuring appropriate measures are taken to maintain safety.
Maintain accurate records of all traffic management activities and incidents.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.Requirements:

Valid Lantra ticket for traffic management operations.
Previous experience in traffic management or a similar role is preferred.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to traffic management.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and on different types of terrain.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to unexpected situations.
A valid driving license is preferred.Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry traffic management equipment.
Comfortable standing for long periods.
