Deputy Head of Finance Shared Services
The Role:
Supporting the Head of Finance Shared Services you’ll deliver a 1st class service within the Finance Shared Service team. What you will be doing:
Support the Head of Finance Shared Services with leadership of the Finance Shared Service team as it continues to evolve to a proactive, highly skilled, engaged and cohesive team that provides strong financial support to the business and delivers a 1st class service through accurate and timely transactional processing.
Ensure there is a robust system of financial controls that will allow effective and efficient management of team performance and delivery of a 1st class service.
Develop a continuous improvement framework to maximise our investment in technology solutions to further drive efficiencies in our processes.
Work collaboratively with the team to build a culture that strives for service and process improvement.
Lead continuous improvement team workshops that proactively identify system improvements in relation to efficiency and ease of use for operators, eradicating manual processes and eliminating the risk of material error.
Responsible for escalation of system issues and working with Applications / IT to prioritise issues and ensure timely resolution.
Review and development of FSS current and adhoc reporting to ensure quality informative reports are produced that provide value to the user.
Development of the weekly FSS KPI Dashboard that includes team KPI’s that monitor service level agreements and provides insight to transactional volumes processed along with service failures and proposed mitigations to prevent issues reoccurring.
Accountable for the development of the FSS risk registers ensuring all risks are identified and documented with appropriate risk mitigation and controls.
Embed the root cause analysis process to include monthly review sessions to ensure learnings are communicated to the team and new risks are identified and added to the risk registers and any process or service improvements are added to the continuous improvement plan.
FSS lead for all PDR projects requiring FSS involvement, supported by team SME’s, to ensure all new products, product developments and system developments have the required financial processes and controls and operate efficiently.
Production of fortnightly FSS Project updates to include RAG status and early indicators of potential risks or delivery failures.
On occasion you may be asked to perform additional duties or duties unrelated to your role after appropriate training has been given.
Encourage a culture of high performance, professionalism and respect, including commitment to a high level of quality control and timeliness of delivery.
Take an active part in driving improvements in the overall finance product and the culture of the Finance team.
Maintenance of own up to date technical knowledge.

Ensuring quality, compliance, Health & Safety and safeguarding standards across the Department/location
What we’re looking for:
Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or overseas equivalent) with significant PQE.
Experience in a leadership role in a Finance Shared Services team or managing large transactional finance teams.
Extensive people management and strong leadership skills.
Excellent organisational, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
Experience as a finance project lead with regards to new systems implementations, improving process or integration work.
Passionate and committed to delivering 1st class customer service.
Advanced in the use of Excel and Microsoft Office.
Highly numerate and analytical with excellent attention to detail.
Our parks require 7 day support therefore the successful candidate must be flexible to work occasional weekends.
