Our Opportunity

(1 ⅓ x weekdays, 1 ½ x Saturday, 2 x Sunday)

(Monday to Thursday 8.00 to 16.30 Friday 8.00 to 15.00 (½ hour lunch break )

The Role

Initially it is envisaged that this will be working work with customers and AB engineers both office based on the phone and also on site to diagnose and correct electrical and PLC software issues encountered with our existing machine relating to the interface with the control system and drives.

We intend to grow the retrofit side of our business providing new electrical panels and updated CNC systems for our existing machines.

Laser Calibration using RENISHAW laser equipment to measure machine inaccuracies and, if fitted, by using the control systems positional correction data reduce the errors to within specifications. (Training will be provided if required)

Backing up control system software using various PC software packages (dependant on system fitted to the machine).

To support the Company in securing more potential business, by identifying and submitting engineer leads for new service contracts or opportunities for additional spares, service or refurbishment work.

Drive the implementation of engineering best practice procedures and maximise both effectiveness and efficiency within the job.

To handle any challenging situations with customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Skills/qualifications

* Recognised Engineering apprenticeship.

* Essential you will have a valid UK driving license – ( Clean Preferred )

* Experience in dealing with both Manual and Computer Numerically Controlled Milling Machinery.

* Fault diagnosis of both Electrical and Machine PLC Software problems on Machine tools.

* Knowledge of Heidenhain, Siemens and Fanuc PLC logic including it’s interrogation and modification – This is an important and key part of the Role.

* NVQ in engineering subject or equivalent (Preferred)
