I am recruiting for an experienced HR Administrator for a school in East London

This will be offered on a temporary - permanent or straight permanent agreement.  THIS IS A FULL TIME ASSIGNMENT

Role Summary:

To provide comprehensive administration support to the HR Manager in accordance with the relevant HR procedures and national standards. Liaising with the local authority and the specialist HR provider as and when necessary. Working closely with the HR Manager and Senior HR Administrator, to ensure a high quality HR service is delivered throughout all departments across the school.

This will include:

Maintaining accurate HR records, including the day to day updating of the Single Central Record of staff DBS checks

Use and maintain the inhouse iTrent HR & Payroll system with all related work undertaken as appropriate.

To support general iTrent system administration including setting up users and security etc.

Work closely with the HR Manager to support recruitment campaigns for individual roles.

Supporting the HR Manager in a variety of HR processes, providing an excellent standard of administration.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

Maintaining accurate HR records

Maintain an accurate and up to date Single Central Record of vetting checks at all times

Keeping staff records (i.e. personal files, sickness records and annual leave records) are up to date and maintained in a confidential and accessible manner and in accordance with data protection requirements. 

Keeping all contractual documents up to date.

Maintain an effective archive of ex- staff records.

Ensuring all staff records are stored on the CMIS system

Supporting all stages of the recruitment process, liaising with the HR Manager to ensure up-to-date documentation/information is provided.  Liaise with external parties (e.g. advertising agencies) as appropriate. 

Ensuring the school’s website is up to date with current jobs vacancies and they are removed at the deadline.

Administer the recruitment inbox and respond to candidates in a timely manner.

Issue recruitment/appointment documentation, including ‘invite to interview’ letters, conditional appointment letters, contracts of employment, and requests for references.  

Ensure pre-employment clearances/checks (e.g. references, work permits, DBS checks and medical clearances) are taken up in a timely manner, and that any issues are highlighted to the relevant manager, providing advice as appropriate 

Liaise with payroll and other relevant sections to ensure staff are paid in an accurate and timely way

A DBS WILL BE APPLIED FOR  FOR THE SUCESSFUL CANDIDATE UNLESS A DBS ON THE UPDATE SERVICE IS PRODUCED
