About the role

You will be a Solutions Developer with experience working on SharePoint 2016-2019 and Online solutions with strong skills in C# and JavaScript (ideally with React) and related .NET technologies (ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework), joining a development team focussing on SharePoint and web hosted applications. The role will include responsibility for delivering high-quality solutions, leading projects, peer reviewing code and improving the techniques and processes used by the team.

About the job

The responsibilities are varied, but will include:

  • Playing an integral role in delivering high quality solutions in SharePoint, Azure and Web Applications
  • Taking a lead role on software projects including coordinating design and architectural sessions
  • Contributing to agile meetings, including planning, review, retrospectives and daily stand ups
  • Using agile tools and techniques to manage workload and collaborate within the team
  • Where necessary supporting, enhancing and refactoring the code for existing applications
  • Demonstrating and following best working practices in use the of technologies, keeping up to date with and communicating developments in the industry
  • Understanding, demonstrating and encouraging software craftsmanship
  • Resolution of bugs and issues
  • Performing peer reviews of other developers work

Minimum Qualifications

About the ideal candidate

This role is in an agile team, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders so excellent communication skills are essential. The right candidate will be experienced in the development of custom solutions for both SharePoint online, SharePoint on premises and web applications, utilising JavaScript / TypeScript, React, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core and C# to build SPFX webparts, on prem web-parts, websites and RESTful APIS. Candidates should also have experience in extending SharePoint with Event receivers, timer jobs, provisioning content types, site columns and custom forms. The Candidate must be able to demonstrate a focus on delivering clean; well-written, multi-tier applications as well as good user interface design developed using industry standards and best practices.
