Job Description

My client, a reputable business on the outskirts of Aylesbury are currently recruiting for a permanent Customer Service Representative/Logistics Clerk.

Car park on site! – Where this client is based you will need to be able to drive to get there!

  • Hours -  Full time (Office hours 09:00-17:00) but can be flexible.

General Details.

  • Customer Service – 50% time in Logistics, 50% in Sales Support.
  • Reporting into the MD with line manager being Logistics Manager.
  • Office based,
  • Holiday entitlement: 23 Days pa plus bank holidays.

Candidate Qualities.

  • The successful candidate will be a fluent and effective communicator in English (both written and spoken).
  • They will be familiar with using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and ideally a database such as SAP.
  • A second language, particularly Spanish would be advantageous.
  • Full, clean driving license.

Shipping.

  • Answering the telephone.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers, maintaining a shipping schedule and filing contracts.
  • Maintaining electronic stock lists.
  • Processing all customer call offs.
  • Keeping up to date with all import procedures and having awareness of duty, customs and rates of exchange etc. Training will be provided.
  • Working out insurance values.
  • Liaising with shipping lines and distribution providers.
  • Liaising with storage and warehousing providers.
  • Assisting in the smooth running of the Logistics Department.
  • Maintaining daily contact with customers and suppliers.
  • Providing support to the Sales Team, wherever needed.
  • Developing relationships and gaining product knowledge from key suppliers and key customers.
  • Dealing with enquiries from customers where necessary.
  • Requesting samples from suppliers and helping organise samples.
  • Issuing and amending sales contracts.
  • Receiving and administering complaints.
