About the role

Working as part of the infrastructure team you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing our national IT infrastructure as well as significant project work, you will be primarily focused on shaping the direction of the modern workplace for RSM through technologies in Microsoft 365 and Azure.

Your role will not be limited to Modern Workplace, but this will be your primary responsibility. You should be competent in IT infrastructure generally and will be expected to undertake project work and support in other areas as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance current Microsoft 365 technologies, as well as developing and driving adoption for new and emerging features and products within an M365 E5 subscription.
  • Maintain and enhance the core and branch IT infrastructures, including the company’s desktop "Standard Build" with SCCM/Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune/Autopilot.
  • Deploying/managing/configuring Enterprise Mobility and Security (EMS) suite with conditional access.
  • Configuring line of business applications to work with Azure AD Application Proxy
  • Liaise with infrastructure suppliers to coordinate new implementations and maintenance of existing infrastructure.
  • Proactive monitoring and performance improvement of current infrastructure.
  • Provide 3rd line support to the National IT Helpdesk and regional IT Practitioners.
  • Assist in testing of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity procedures
  • Creation and maintenance of systems documentation.
  • Assist in the creation of new IT policies
  • Take a lead role in designated infrastructure projects and provide support and enhancement to other infrastructure projects.
  • Provide "best of breed" IT solutions.

About the ideal candidate

To succeed in this role, you’ll need wide-ranging knowledge and experience across IT Infrastructure, ideally within a professional services organisation. You would have excellent working knowledge of implementing and maintaining Microsoft 365 Technologies in a hybrid configuration, as well as, proven experience in Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure Active Directory, Windows Defender for Endpoint, and Office 365 Productivity and Collaboration Tools (Teams, Power Platform and emerging technologies).

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements

  • Experience of working with Application and Desktop Virtualisation using Microsoft RemoteApp/RDS and AppV and ideally Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD)
  • Experience working in a multi-cloud environment with knowledge of traditional and modern virtualisation solutions.
  • Vendor management and third party collaboration.
  • Experience working in an ITIL aligned environment, with ISO 27001.
  • Understanding of agile process methodologies
