Senior PHP Developer

Are you a passionate and experienced PHP Developer looking to take your career to the next level? This is your chance to join an innovative and fast-growing SaaS ecommerce team working on exciting, cutting-edge projects in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

About the Role
As a Senior PHP Developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing the capabilities of a cutting-edge ecommerce platform. Working with PHP 8+, Laravel 10+, Vue JS, Alpine JS, and tailored API integrations, you’ll develop scalable, high-performance solutions and contribute to a modern codebase built for innovation and growth.

What You’ll Do

* Develop and maintain robust PHP applications using PSR-12 standards.

* Create engaging front-end experiences with Vue JS and Alpine JS.

* Collaborate within an agile DevOps environment, contributing to code reviews, architectural planning, and problem-solving sessions.

* Work on innovative ecommerce projects while managing large-scale codebases with Git.

* Design and integrate APIs and optimise database interactions using MySQL.

We’re seeking someone with:

* 5+ years of commercial development experience, including 2+ years with full-stack PHP/Laravel and JavaScript frameworks.

* Expertise in PHP 8 with a focus on MVC frameworks (ideally Laravel 10).

* Proficiency in Vue JS, Alpine JS, and Git version control.

* Strong knowledge of API design and integration, with RESTful services experience.

* A commitment to coding standards, quality, and continuous learning.

Bonus Skills

* While not essential, the following would be advantageous:

* Experience with Docker, queueing mechanisms, and distributed task processing.

* Knowledge of payment systems (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).

* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD, and Linux server management.

Key Attributes
You’ll excel in this role if you’re proactive, analytical, and a creative thinker with a strong team-oriented approach.

What’s in It for You?

* Generous Holiday Entitlement: 30 days (excluding bank holidays) plus your birthday off.

* Flexible Working: Hybrid working model (2 days WFH).

* Share Options: EMI Share Options Scheme.

* Health & Wellbeing: Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan and complimentary breakfast
