Semiskilled Joiner/Assembler

* Monday to Friday 08.00 – 17.00

Our client is a well-established Manufacturing company based in Blackburn who are looking to add a Semi Skilled Joiner/Assembly operative to their expanding team. The company prides itself in manufacturing high quality bespoke furniture.

The purpose of the role is;

* To assist senior joiners in the assembling of bespoke furniture

* Using various hand tools such as crosscut saws, Cutter moulding machines, Band saws and 4 side planers

* Learning various types of machinery on site

* Unloading and stacking timber

* Other duties, as required, that would reasonably be allocated to an Assembly operative.

The Person

* A willingness to learn how to set up and run the machines, under supervision

* Helping senior Wood Machinist

* Backing off machines and stacking timber

* Cleaning

* Great attention to detail

* Ideally worked in a woodworking environment

* A willingness to learn new skills.
