Job Description
We are delighted to be collaborating with a law firm in their search for a Legal Billing Assistant on a 12 months fixed term contract. You will be responsible for Preparing draft bills for fee earners and working closely with the secretaries.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare draft bills for fee earners upon request, review and edit pre-bills in response to the fee earner's requests.
Generating WIP and A/R reports.
Actively follow up with Partners, Associates and Secretaries as to whether bills have been sent to the clients.
Monitor the e-billing progress and liaise with our other offices and with our global Finance team.
Ensure relevant approval has been obtained for any special rates, agreed fee and charge out rate.
Process edits of fee earner's time entries and transfer fee earner's time between client matters when required.Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of accounting and billing experience in professional services firms
Good team player and ability to work independently in a team environment
Excellent communications sills both verbal and written
Strong problem-solving skills
Good attention to detail
Organised and ability to prioritise work
Experience with billing system
Experience working with Microsoft Office Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
