Exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to manage a retail product portfolio and join a growing environment improvement product manufacturing company based at its satellite office in Manchester. Hybrid working options.
Our client is a leading independent UK Horticulture and Agriculture product company known for its outstanding reputation and strong presence in domestic and international markets. Part of a global group, they are expanding into new markets and territories across Europe and beyond.
The Product Manager will take ownership of the product lifecycle and product management process from beginning to end and set workable and measurable targets and a timeframe to achieve these in. Analyse data and market trends to develop strategies for product categories. Working collaboratively with different teams (across multiple site locations UK & EU) within operations, sales and marketing to plan and execute short, mid and long term plans. Responsible for the overall management and profitability of the retail portfolio within the group.

Product Manager – the role:
* Product Development – driving operational support for new and existing retail product portfolio
* Create and drive concept briefs through the business for all product enquiries - essential for the delivery of all New Product Development, on time.
* Analysis of sales by territory, category, channels.
* Gather critical data required for Range review, gap analysis on shelf and competitor activity. Participate in product strategies within team to help positioning & placement within the market.
* Aid in the management of vendor/ supplier relationships of product and packaging.
* Facilitate annual customer reviews to aid in the new season planning - to ensure account specific product plans in place.
* Attend key customer meetings to facilitate the key product outputs.
* Input into product placement, facilitate merchandising strategies to optimise shelf layout and product displays.
* Conduct market research for NPD projects.
* Aid in creating sales collateral to present and train on any new product launches.
Product Manager candidate requirements:
2+ years product and category focus
Experience of working cross functionally with manufacturing, operations, sales & marketing
Ability to plan, deliver and achieve
