ADVERT:

Our Client is looking for a Highways Technician/Paviour to carry out the operational work involved in the maintenance, repair and upkeep of carriageways, footpaths, drainage systems and associated items.

Duties:

* Lay paving and kerbs

* To construct, reinstate or erect: new gullies and manholes, including working in confined spaces and using breathing apparatus if required

* To repair damaged gullies and manholes, including working in confined spaces and using breathing apparatus if required

* Fit/repair soak away systems

* Drainage and connection of drainage systems

* Kerbs, edgings, blocks and paving slabs

* Street furniture, signs, seats, barriers etc

Requirements:

* Health & Safety including Manual Handling and COSHH awareness and confined space working

* Current City & Guilds Certificate in Street works or relevant work experience

* Tarmac experience - ESSENTIAL

* Driving licence - ESSENTIAL
