Compliance Analyst
6 month contract
£15.39 per hour - PAYE
Huddersfield - Remote role with twice per month on-site
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join a global engineering business in Huddersfield.
You will be joining the Customs and Trade Compliance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, focusing on ensuring compliance with global trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and execute processes to ensure compliance with Customs and Export Controls regulations.
Analyze data using Excel (VLOOKUP, filters, etc.) and draw actionable conclusions.
Collaborate with team members and take the initiative to seek assistance when necessary.
Engage in continuous improvement of compliance processes and support the development of best practices.Experience required:
While no prior trade or brokerage experience is required, experience in shipping, logistics, or transport is highly advantageous.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is essential. Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques is a plus.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for effective collaboration and reporting.
Knowledge of Systems: Familiarity with organisational systems and business processes is beneficial but not mandatory.Key Requirements:

Proficiency in related IT skills, particularly MS Office (Excel, email, calendar management).
A proactive attitude, with the ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion.
