Michelle Denny Recruitment is recruiting for a leading manufacturing business in Norfolk and is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and implement exceptional quality systems and practices. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with industry-leading standards. Salary is £50,000pa doe, plus benefits, working Monday to Friday.
The Role:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing ISO 9001 systems, managing quality processes, and ensuring product excellence meets customer expectations. The role requires collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to achieve key performance targets and foster a culture of quality throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, and manage the ISO 9001 Quality System to maintain compliance and approvals.
Lead the Quality Department, overseeing daily quality records, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor and manage non-conformance systems and customer complaints, utilising tools such as 8Ds and 5 Whys to identify and resolve issues.
Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and ensure all processes align with company standards.
Report monthly quality KPIs, including On Time Delivery, reject levels, and associated trends to senior leadership.
Collaborate with customers and suppliers to achieve performance targets and maintain effective quality processes.
Experience Required:
Proven experience managing ISO 9001 Quality Systems and auditing processes.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to analyse and report on quality data effectively.
Strong communication skills to interact confidently at all levels of the business, as well as with external stakeholders.
Proficiency in using quality tools and techniques to resolve issues and implement improvements.
A working knowledge of metrology and the ability to interpret engineering drawings would be a great advantage.
Computer literacy and a proactive approach to driving quality standards and processes.
