Job Description

Electrical Tendering Manager, Co. Cavan

Turner Lovell is partnering with a highly successful transformer and substation OEM to source an Electrical Tendering Manager to join their team in County Cavan, Ireland. This long-standing business has positioned themselves as a leading power solutions provider, with a growing focus on the renewable energy sector.

This is a key role in the business, responsible for preparing, managing, and submitting competitive bids for engineering projects; initial electrical transformer design, specification and materials and accessories analysis is required; and this role involves close coordination with various departments to gather necessary information, analyse project requirements, and develop cost-effective solutions that meet client specifications and standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

Tender & Quotation Preparation - technical and commercial understanding to then compile successful submissions.
Cost Estimation - developing estimates, analysing and evaluating project feasibility, and identifying potential risk.
Coordination and Communication - liaising with all internal and external stakeholders throughout bidding to handover of tenders won.
Documentation and Submission - ensuring tender documentation is competitive, accurate, complete, and submitted within deadlines, while maintaining organised records.
Technical Support - Provide technical support and clarification during the evaluation and negotiation phases, assisting in the preparation of post-tender clarifications and responses.
Market Analysis - stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities, analysing past tenders to improve future bidding strategies.
To be condiered, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role; preferably within the engineering or design engineering. You should have a strong knowledge of engineering principles and electrical distribution practices; a proficiency in tendering and cost estimation software; and a familiarity with project management tools and methodologies. You will receive an attractive salary reflective of your experience.

I am keen to have an initial discussion with anyone who feels this could potentially be of interest. Please send an up to date CV to Mark Canning via the link provided to speak further about this opportunity.

To help Turner Lovell find you the perfect job, we need to store and process your personal information. This means your details will be entered into Turner Lovell's database and our consultants may contact you from time to time with relevant job opportunities. By applying you're confirming you're happy for us to do that. All conversations will be treated in the strictest of confidence
