Procurement Manager - Hertfordshire - £70k
Platform Recruitment have partnered with a leading client in the defence and cyberspace sectors. They are looking to take on an experienced procurement manager who can implement global sourcing strategies for all aspects of procurement.
The ideal candidate will be able to lead and manage the team establishing departmental and personal objectives for each member.
Key responsibilities:
+ Manage the procurement processes for competitive tendering.
+ Spearhead continuous improvement in all areas of supply chain performance.
+ Ensure imports and exports fully comply with appropriate legislation
Key skills:
+ Experience within a purchasing role at Executive Management level.
+ Strong understanding of understanding of MRP, kanban, contract law, and negotiation.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills
+ Familiar with change management environments
Willingness to occasionally travel to visit Customer sites in the UK or overseas is required and a CIPS qualification is preferred.
The salary will be up to £70k depending on previous experience with great company benefits.
