About Us:
We are a welcoming and caring 35-bed care home in Guildford, dedicated to providing a warm and supportive environment for our residents. Our home boasts beautiful outdoor spaces, and we are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to help maintain and enhance these areas for the enjoyment of our residents, visitors, and staff.

Role Overview:
As our Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the gardens, lawns, pathways, and outdoor areas of the care home. Your work will play a vital role in creating a peaceful and attractive environment that promotes well-being for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain lawns, flowerbeds, shrubs, and trees to a high standard.
Perform regular mowing, pruning, weeding, and planting.
Ensure pathways and outdoor seating areas are clean, safe, and inviting.
Carry out seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, snow removal, and gritting.
Perform basic maintenance of gardening equipment and tools.
Collaborate with the care home team to create opportunities for residents to engage with the gardens.
Monitor the outdoor environment for any potential hazards and report as needed.
About You:

Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.
Knowledge of horticulture, including plant care and pest control.
Ability to operate gardening tools and machinery safely.
Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage your time effectively.
A friendly and approachable attitude, with a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
