We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join a school in Brentwood on a temporary basis. This role is vital in ensuring that the school provides nutritious meals in a clean and welcoming environment.

Position Overview:

Position: School Catering Assistant

Location: Brentwood, CM13

Type: Temporary, Ongoing role during school term time only

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Rate: from £11.44 p/hr plus holiday accrual paid weekly

Duration: From Monday, 6th January 2025

As a School Catering Assistant, you will contribute to the smooth running of the school’s catering service by preparing and serving meals and maintaining high hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of school meals

* Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean, tidy, and compliant with food hygiene regulations

* Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment

* Help with stock management and basic food preparation tasks

* Provide excellent service to staff and students, contributing to a positive dining experience

Requirements:

* A valid DBS check is essential for this school-based role - please only apply if you have DBS Enhanced

* Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role is preferred but not required

* Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high hygiene standards

* Availability for the full duration of the assignment
