Based in Tonbridge, our client, a highly reputable and well-established firm of Chartered Accountants is looking for an Accounts and Tax Manager to join their team. This highly successful chartered accountancy practice acts for wide-ranging clients, across varied industries providing services including audit, accounts, tax, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, management accounts and outsourced accounting and payroll, alongside other specialist services including tax advisory services.

Joining as an Accounts Manager based at the firm's offices in Tonbridge, you will have a hands-on role, responsible for a portfolio of clients and reviewing the work of junior staff. You will also be responsible for preparing accounts and corporate tax, with the opportunity to also get involved in management accounts for sole traders, partnerships and OMB limited companies. You will have increasing client contact and excellent progression prospects as you progress in your career.

Completing accountancy and business taxation assignments for a wide range of businesses.

Prepare and review financial statements for a mixture of clients such as sole traders, partnerships, and companies.

Preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts for clients (including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships).

Liaising with clients using a variety of methods to facilitate the production of financial statements, business tax computations and obtaining personal tax information.

Supporting trainee staff and contributing to their learning and development.

Requirements

Accounts and Tax Manager in Tonbridge:

You will have a career background in accountancy practice preparing a mix of accounts, tax, management accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT services for a variation of clients including limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.

You will have at least 3 - 5 years + experience, or more ideally gained within accountancy practice and be looking to further your career.

You will be ACCA/ACA qualified or have developed your career through experience only.

£50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable
