Job Description:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Leading classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
Supporting the classroom teacher with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery.
Working with small groups or individual students to provide targeted learning support.
Developing and implementing interventions to help students achieve their learning goals.
Assisting with the assessment of student progress and contributing to reports.
Providing guidance and support to other teaching assistants and support staff.
Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure inclusion and accessibility.
Contributing to the creation of a positive and stimulating learning environment.
Qualifications:
HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience working in primary or secondary schools, preferably as a teaching assistant.
Confidence in leading classes and delivering pre-planned lessons.
Strong understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
